Payments Industry Veteran to Lead In-House Processing Migration and
Execute Overall Processing Strategy
MONROVIA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Apr. 2, 2012--
Green Dot Corporation (NYSE: GDOT) announced it has hired seasoned
processing executive, Ralph Calvano, as Senior Vice President,
Processing, reporting directly to Chief Information Officer John
MacIlwaine. Mr. Calvano starts at the Company today and will lead Green
Dot’s strategic initiative to bring key elements of its transaction
processing in house, thereby reducing reliance on third parties. He will
also drive the ongoing strategic vision for processing, including
integrating processing with other Green Dot technical environments.
Green Dot recently announced the purchase of certain processing assets
of eCommlink, which was the first step in a multi-year platform
migration initiative to vertically integrate transaction processing. Mr.
Calvano is a cornerstone addition to a talented team of payments
industry professionals that the Company has assembled in recent months
to manage the processing conversion.
Mr. Calvano joins Green Dot from Fidelity National Information Services,
Inc. (FIS), where he served as the Senior Vice President and General
Manager of Prepaid Solutions. In that role, he was responsible for
leading all aspects of development, quality assurance, product/project
management, client relations and cardholder customer service for the
prepaid operations of FIS.

Mr. Calvano brings more than 20 years experience in payments to Green
Dot, having previously held the position of Senior Vice President /
Chief Operating Officer for FIS Prepaid Services; as well as senior
leadership positions at First Data, NYCE Corporation and Electronic Data
Systems.
