Expanded Role Reinforces Green Dot's Position as a Leader in
Innovative Financial Technology and Branchless Banking
PASADENA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 6, 2015--
Green Dot Corporation (NYSE:GDOT) today announced it has appointed Chief
Technology Officer and Executive Vice President of Product Development,
Kuan Archer, to Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective January 1.
In his role as COO, Kuan will continue to lead all of product
development and Information Technology and will assume oversight of
vendor management and procurement, business continuity, human resources,
supply chain and retail execution. He will report directly to Chairman
and Chief Executive Officer, Steve Streit.

Since 2012, Kuan has led Green Dot’s entire technology organization
including Worldwide Product/Software Development, Information
Technology, Network Operations and Information Security. Prior to Green
Dot, Kuan served as Senior Vice President of the Cloud Services Platform
division at Rovi Corporation. Prior to joining Rovi, Kuan served in
various leadership roles at Symantec Corporation where among other
things, he was responsible for designing the company’s first web- and
mobile- based consumer identity protection and transaction security
offering for Financial Institutions and eCommerce providers. Kuan has
also held strategic product development and senior management roles at
Microsoft Corporation, including experience in Microsoft's Office,
Visual Studio, and MSN divisions. Kuan holds multiple patents in the
areas of Internet Security and web/device connectivity. He earned a
Master of Business Administration from the University of Washington, and
a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Texas
at Austin.
