Green Dot Corporation Files Registration Statement for Proposed Initial Public Offering

Monrovia, CA, March 1, 2010 -- Green Dot Corporation, a leading prepaid financial services company, announced today that it has filed a registration statement on Form S-1 with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for a proposed initial public offering of shares of its common stock. The number of shares to be offered and the price range for the offering have not yet been determined.

J.P. Morgan and Morgan Stanley will act as joint book-running managers, and Piper Jaffray and UBS Investment Bank will serve as co-managers for the proposed offering.

A registration statement relating to these securities has been filed with the SEC but has not yet become effective.
