Industry Veteran to Drive Technology Innovation Process for Green Dot

Green Dot Corporation (NYSE: GDOT), a leading prepaid financial services company, is pleased to announce it has hired financial technology veteran John MacIlwaine as Chief Information Officer. Mr. MacIlwaine, who starts at the Company today, will lead Green Dot's entire technology organization, and will orchestrate the design and implementation of the Company's overall technology strategy.

Mr. MacIlwaine joins Green Dot from Visa, Inc., where he served as Head of Global Development and was responsible for developing new products and services across Visa's commercial and consumer product divisions, coordinating these key initiatives as the payment network underwent a highly-complex global restructuring tied to its transition from a privately-held bank association model to a publicly-traded corporation.

Before joining Visa, Mr. MacIlwaine served as Chief Technology Officer for various companies, including SunGard Investment Systems and for Morgan Stanley's private client group.
